Clomid is a brand name for the drug clomiphene citrate, it is not a type of steroid. It is typically prescribed for women to aid in ovulation or in men to treat infertility.

Clomid is also effective as an anti-estrogen. In fact, it’s structure nearly identical to Tamoxifen, another estrogen antagonist.
